Make yourself at home

I started this blog almost ten years ago over on the free wordpress.org. It was a documentation of my journey as a wife, a new mother and someone who have a passion in making beautiful photo. My photography style is very whimsical and quirky. I am very attracted to light reflections and natural color tone. I hope you enjoy my work.

Want to look up something?

westwood plateau wedding ~ Frank and Athena

This photo pretty much sum up on the vibe Frank and Athena are to me.

They are warm, inviting and funny, most importantly grounded and down to earth. I think part of it was due to them being high school sweetheart and both knew exactly what they want in life made them draw strength with each other.

Through a mutual friend, we connected a year prior to Frank and Athena wedding.

Within the first 10 mins of meeting Athena and Frank, we discover that we had a lot in common. Most notably are our love of cats, so much so that we often joke with each meeting the shop talk shall be done within 5 mins since we do see everything eye to eye and we can proceed into talking and laughing about our cats antics for the next 2 hours.

I took this photos of his cat in the morning while Athena was getting ready, and it was the funniest thing as little mika was viewing herself more on the line of mommy shinny thing protector; where she will only give me 2 mins to work with each piece of jewellery and prance on collecting it back.

Therefore, I had decided to just roll with the situation and include her in almost all of the details shots. I mean she was such a good sport that she was even participated in the “iconic bridesmaid fluffing the wedding dress” pose….

While Mika was playing models/security personal. Athena was getting doll up.

While Frank was getting dress over on the other side of Burnaby mountain.

We then meet up on SFU for our first look session.

We got a few family photos in since the couple decided not to have bridal party.

You know you are lucky when you get to photograph this may wedding with the last patch of Cherry blossom in the city….Then we are off to Westwood Plateau Gold club for their wedding ceremony.

Off to take some portrait around the beautiful golf course while guests chill out during cocktails.

Off to have fun in reception.
